Acne & Blemishes

You know that feeling when you wake up, look in the mirror, and there is a fresh red bump or a cluster of blackheads that wasn't there yesterday. Acne happens when your pores get clogged. Inside each pore, there's a tiny oil gland and a hair follicle. Normally, oil travels up and out, carrying dead skin cells with it. But sometimes, thanks to hormones, stress, or genetics the oil thickens, the dead skin cells stick together, and everything gets trapped. That trapped mixture creates a comedo (clogged pore). If it's open to air, it turns into a blackhead. If it's closed, a whitehead. And if bacteria move in? Your immune system attacks, causing redness, swelling which could result to papules, pustules, nodules, and cysts. Acne is not just a cosmetic concern; it can cause significant emotional distress, scarring, and hyperpigmentation, especially when severe or improperly treated.
